Billing and plans

ReplayDoc charges by the minute. Each plan gives you a monthly pool of minutes, and you can change plans whenever you need more (or less).

This page covers what's in each plan, how upgrades and downgrades work, and where to manage your subscription.

The plans

A few things worth flagging:

  • Free is a lifetime cap, not a monthly one. The 5 minutes don't reset. They're for trying ReplayDoc out before you pick a paid plan.
  • Paid plans reset on your billing date every month or year, depending on the cycle you picked.
  • All features are on every plan. Embeds, all five export formats, folders, AI Agent SOP exports. The only thing that scales is minutes.

How upgrades work

You hit your cap and need more room. You upgrade.

  • The new plan takes effect immediately. Your minute pool resizes on the spot.
  • Stripe handles the math: you pay a prorated amount for the rest of your current period at the new rate, minus credit for what you already paid.
  • The next full charge happens on your normal billing date.

To upgrade, head to your billing page in the hub and pick a higher tier. You'll go through Stripe Checkout once, and that's it.

How downgrades work

You picked Pro, used it for a month, and realized Growth is enough. You downgrade.

  • The downgrade is scheduled, not instant. You keep your current plan's minutes for the rest of the period you've already paid for.
  • At the end of that period, you switch to the lower plan automatically.
  • No proration credit on downgrades. You used the higher plan, you keep using it until the cycle ends.

Switching between monthly and annual

Same flow as a regular upgrade. If you switch from monthly to annual mid-cycle, Stripe prorates the difference and charges you the balance.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from the billing page.

  • Cancellation is scheduled to the end of the current period. You keep your minutes until then.
  • At period end, your account drops to Free with zero minutes. The Free tier's lifetime 5-minute pool was used during your initial signup and doesn't refresh.
  • Your flows, folders, and exports all stay. Nothing is deleted.
  • You can resubscribe at any time. Picking up where you left off is a one-click checkout, and the new plan's minutes are available immediately.

Updating your payment method

The "Manage subscription" button on the billing page opens the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can:

  • Add or replace a payment method
  • See past invoices
  • Cancel directly

What happens if a payment fails

Stripe retries the charge automatically (usually 3-4 attempts over a couple weeks). During that window:

  • Your subscription is marked past_due but not blocked. You can keep using ReplayDoc with whatever minutes you have left.
  • You'll get email notifications from Stripe with a link to update your payment method.

If all retries fail, the subscription cancels and you drop to Free.

Refunds

ReplayDoc doesn't offer refunds.

If you upgrade and realize you don't need the higher plan, downgrade. The downgrade is scheduled for the end of your current period, so you keep the higher plan's minutes until then. The next charge happens at the lower rate.
